HOW I SPENT MY DAY-OFF TODAY (KYUJITSU) JITENSHA DIARIES # 2: 10:00-11:00- Bible Reading/ Listening 11:00-12:00- Studying Basic Japanese Grammar 12:00-12:30- Cooking Lunch 12:30- 1:00- Lunch: Green Salad with Red Egg 1:00- 4:00- House Cleaning 4:00- 4:30- Cooking and Savoring Snacks- Japanese Noodles with Egg and Celery 4:30- 5:00- Refreshing Bath 5:00-7:30- Riding my Bike, exploring Funabashi First Bike Tour- Funabashi Daijin-gu Shrine I am happy to share how I spent my Day-Off today, how I sweat it out, striking balance from the spiritual to the physical self. Listening to the bible refreshes my day, seeking God first in the morning. Second, because of a busy work schedule, it is only during Day Off that I am able to do General House Cleaning, from wiping the tops, sweeping the floors, vacuuming the rugs and corners to folding my clothes. Cooking becomes now my hobby as I prepare my meals for the whole day. Then, the most exciting is my first Bike Exploration to the Local attraction of Funabashi-shi which I checked first in the internet. According to Wikipedia, topping the list is visiting the Funabashi Shrine or Daijin-gu Shrine. It is far from my house but through the help of Apple Navigation, I am able to track down its direction though I have never been there. It is pretty good feeling to focus on the goal despite the many slopes along the road. I enjoyed the trip as I struggled driving to and fro for 2 hours! It is worth burning the calories! To God be the Glory and Honor!
