HOW PRESIDENT MOI COULD HAVE TAMED JOHO: If it was President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi time , all what Moi could have done to tame Governor Ali Hassan Joho was to give President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni a phone call. After a few a short disussion , both gentlemen would have come into an agreement that the degree issued by Kampala University was non existent.. A day later a press conference from Kampala University would indicate Joho degree only existed in his mind.. Back home a certain voter from Mombasa ( probably a KANU youthwinger) would be ready to go to court and a certain judge picked by Arap Moi to hear that particular case would declare Joho unfit for holding the position of governor . In some cases Joho would be arrested by the flying squad for forgery/fraud or Baba Nyayo as a number one christian would forgive him & allow him to go scott free.. A battery of opposition MPs / Lawyers / activists would all rally behind joho. They would even go to court to challenge. Nothing much would be achieved from that front . After sometime Joho would be all alone cooling his heels in his own house planning on how to defect to KANU.. On the day of defection , he would go to Chester House Koinange street for a press conference or KANU Hqtrs at KICC and call the opposition names. In a small incoherent speech at KICC or Chester House , he would declare Baba Moi to be everything; Father of the nation , Humanity greatest genius , A saint etc etc ... Ofcourse he would claim that he was lost by being opposed to Nyayo & Nyayoism but he has now seen the light... After defection Baba Moi would rehabilitate him by appointing him as a chair of some parastatal and he would be given KANU life membership certificate & a small token in brown notes... After that he would become KANU parrot number one...
