HOW WILL YOUR PARTNER SUPPORT YOU IN LABOUR? This is a really interesting read for all mums and dads to be! "I wanted my husbands support in all of my labours, but I know in my first Labour he felt like a spare part, an onlooker, and he hated the feeling of not knowing what to do to help - Aware of this I felt anxious which consequently raised my stress levels - the last thing you want in Labour, so we both felt helpless! This time however we prepared together, he was then able to read my every move and understand what was going on with my body, what I needed and when I needed it. He was the first person to notice I was in transition, stepping in at exactly the right moment to keep me calm and I can honestly say we laboured together! For both of us it was an amazing experience." I hear a lot of partners say they wished they could have helped/been involved at the birth of their child - many dreading the labour and thankful when it is all over! This is such a shame as when offered a bit of support and preparation things can be so different! Lazy Daisy Birth Partner Workshop - A male friendly birth preparation session for you both to prepare together!
