HRM OBI EFEIZOMOR LAYS FOUNDATION FOR POLYTECHNIC AT OWA-OYIBU The Obi of Owa Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor II (JP) OON on Wednesday, June 19th 2013, laid the foundation for the proposed Calvary Polytechnic, Owa-Oyibu, in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State. The project is to be funded by one of the illustrious son of Owa land, Chief Nkenchor Okwokenye - The Ineh of Owa Kingdom. Speaking during the brief ceremony, Chief Okwokenye welcomed Obi, Efeizomor and his entourage. He stated that he decided to embark on the project in over to provide skills which are lacking among students who desire Polytechnic education. He thanked the Owa Monarch, who according to him has been a pillar towards the dualization of the dream. He promised that the project will be completed in no distant time. Obi Efeizomor described the project as laudable saying it will benefit everybody in the kingdom and Ika nation in general. He said that Owa kingdom has been expecting such project as the institution will no doubt help students to acquire higher education. He added that the siting of the institution at Owa-Oyibu is one of the greatest things that have happened to the kingdom. He prayed God to help the people realize the benefit of what has been brought to their door step. He thanked the initiators and sponsors prayed God to grant him long life. High point of the event was the official laying of the foundation by HRM, Dr. Efeizomor II (JP) OON the Obi of Owa kingdom.
