Ha! Only us. Liam is sitting next to a young man.The lad turns to him...apparently unprovoked-- but you never really know in 1st grade...and says, Why is your family so WEIRD?!?! A bit loudly...garnering some attention from classmates. Liam reports this to me. I am prepared. I am always prepared, because...technically...we are weird. Shall I define? I spent my morning homeschooling Liams vaccine injured brother, Noah. Then I made some organic bone broth. We did Samantha Howicks AWESOME yoga video. I fed him lunch, we took a learning break (he had a clay bath) and I read about hypogammaglobulinemia and serum IgA, We had some food grade diatomaceous earth, some chicken and egg pancakes courtesy of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet for a afternoon snack. Technically we are on the elemental (pharmaceutical grade all liquid diet) because of Noahs CLINICALLY diagnosed vaccine injury and subsequent (totally avoidable) bowel disease, but...we went through it too quickly this month so we have to wait until our next shipment is delivered. SCD fills in the gaps. Then we did sculpting class with our gluten-free-soy-free-casein-free clay and Noah sculpted Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt. A little practice cutting. A little number identification...a little coloring. Liam arrives home from school...I bundle both boys up and and we head to the chiropractor. It is on this car ride...that I learn of this comment. I respond, Honey...you know mom and dad...we take a stand about what happened to Noah. You know about the book and that mom has been on TV and.-- Liam (annoyed) interrupts and says, Mom, do you want to know what I said? (Stunned) Me: Yes son, what did you say? Liam: I looked at him and said, We ARE weird. In a GOOD way. Unphased he was. I love my people. We are weird. We are very very very weird. But, we stand for something. Weird is okay...and it is actually okay to ask, too...
