Had a blast at the Alamo City Throwdown this weekend with team - TopicsExpress

Had a blast at the Alamo City Throwdown this weekend with team Guns N Buns! We finished the day in 11th out of 56 teams in our division! Props to Trinity Competitions for running such a great event, and thank you to all the people who volunteerd their time to help out, yall made it an awesome experience for everybody who participated that day! Very proud of Marisa Martinez, Erin Elliott, Abby Nicole, John Matthew Gonzalez, and Elliott Crist, we all came together in major ways to contribute to our success over all with ranks as high as 4th place on the team total of max unbroken toes to bar! We set high hopes, (I mean... I was pretty confident going out there with 5 of the fittest people that I know, 4/6 of us had been on podiums, lol!) We fell short on some goals, and exceeded others. Most importantly though we fought hard all the way to the end, every one gave everything they had on every event until the very last rep of the day, and we did the absolute best that we could. Grateful for the time spent with these people this weekend and thankful for the love that Im surrounded with every day in this community, memories were made, no doubt about that! Thank you Chrissy Palazzotta Jahrling and Jordan Jahrling for being such great hosts Friday night, and Chrissy for your mad physical therapy skills taking care of all of our little aches and pains through the day, and for your photography skills, and facebook skills!! Thanks to Taylor Wilson and Destiny Rios for making the drive out to look out for us as we threw down, it made a huge difference having you both there! As of now this will be my last competition until next season, but it feels good to finally be finding balance in training others and in training my self. My people will always take priority over me, because that is simply the coach in me, but in preparation for this particular event I found my happy place again with my personal fitness, and also balance in my nutrition. When those are right it gets me right, which makes me a better coach, which is what I was put here to do. During some deep thinking this weekend I really realized what it is that motivates me, and it was the thing that was going through my mind before and during every event, and that is all of you. Im going to let Lao Tzu and Elliott take this one..... heres my pledge to Mainland CrossFit Texas City/Crossfit Tidal Wave!
