Had a crazy dream last night... I was at this bar Id never been to and was having a great time. Eddie was there, so was Chris , Ryan and Jude. We were knockin em back like tomorrow wasnt comin, having a blast. Then from across the room, I saw her. Prettiest girl I had ever seen. I set my drink down and tried to make my way to you but the room kept getting longer and longer. The more people I pushed out of my way, the farther away you were from me. I yelled your name but the music just got louder every time I opened my mouth. I finally made it to the end of the sea of people just to realize that I was alone in the bar. Everyone was gone, including the gorgeous girl that just moments before was standing in the doorway. This immense feeling of guilt consumed me all over again. That once more I had been so close and she slipped through my fingers. Then I woke up from the sound of thunder outside my window. I was in a daze still, but then I was grateful. Not just that the dream was over, but that I was able to experience that guilty feeling without actually relapsing back into the bottle and hurting the people that I love dearly. Now, in case youre still reading and wondering who she was, it was Taylor Rae. My little girl. Im 9 months clean and sober, and if a dream like that doesnt motivate me to keep pushing every day to work my way back to her, than maybe I should check for a pulse...
