Had a day out yesterday with Farlows Andy Buckley on his river Dove stretch..the fish were taking tiny black buzzer midges through the day and them odd sedge, I dead drifted a sedge over the fish of a life time head and tailing,set the hook and it came off!!! Grrrr Andy went with the frenchie for most of the day and caught a grayling I would class as a pig with wings weighing 2lb10oz on the salters!! A amazing catch and fish of a lifetime. I stuck with the dry all day as I know its coming to a end and caught around 30 12inch grayling smutting in flat pools and I loved every minute of it.. It dont get much better than September so get and enjoy it.. Thanks to Bucko for a top top day, what a gent you are and at age 29 boy you can fish ! GP
