Had a funny thing happen today...was on a 3 way call with a broke person who was hating on his good friend who was trying to help him out with an opportunity. The guy starts hating on network marketing and I took exception. He can hate on his good friend and rain on his good friends parade and I will let those two battle it out. If he challenges the professionalism or the legitimacy of my industry, I take exception. Basically, this guy is a miserable loser who is rude to the few friends he has and he is on the phone with a guy who does fairly well and helps a lot of people. He is not listening at all. When he finally made a feeble attempt at having his brain actually present at the conversation, he proceeded to spew such drivel that even he was embarrassed. He will probably listen next time....That was nice of me. (Now I know that the above is not a real personal development-ish post on the surface....but reality is that there are lots of ways of communicating and with certain people you have to realize that they dont respond well to nice or to Facts or to Logic because they havent dealt with it much in their lives...and their parents didnt either and so on and so on....witness, the very sad dumbing down of America. Too many people argue for the sake of arguing. I only argue when Im certain about something...and with the people who are close to me know, I almost never argue because I dont take a stand unless I feel it is the right outcome for all...meaning the overall utility for the universe is the highest...I digress. If you know what you are talking about, then argue. Whatever you do, dont bring a knife to a gunfight. Affiliate Marketing is the future. The media doesnt like it because they lose advertising dollars. The internet makes a much fairer worldwide economy. Word of mouth prevails. In a world where the founder of Angies list is worth hundreds of millions of dollars....some things have changed. People dont drive to the store to buy the product that they saw advertised on TV. Because they dont watch network TV and they wouldnt want to waste the time or the gas and have to go see the people of Walmart- and pay more for an item that could be delivered. Smart people in the VERY NEAR FUTURE will have most of the stuff they want delivered to them via a drone to their current location according to their iphone 6plus or the Super Duper Samsung phone...so that will eliminate the shipping cost issue. It will be a pittance compared to the overhead of a retail empire. Even on a smaller scale. I pity the poor pool service or plumber or whatever whose business is not built by word of mouth these days. If I knew of a great pool service (so far I have been through 3) I know I would get them a lot of clients. If I put my word on the line that this was a great service started by a great person. If I give my word and the pool service sucks...then my credibility would go down with the person I gave the referral to. (does that Klout thing really work?) Is it legit to have a high klout score or can that be bought too? Is it a legitimate measure of someones social media influence with no other opinions involved. If it is, then I bet they get real big. Hope they dont rurn out to be like the better business bureau and realized its impossible to be unbiased with their business model and they dont have all the facts and couldnt possibly know the people involved. Im just saying, I trust my friends recommendation way more than a TV ad, a google result (nearly all are monetized), or the better business bureau...20/20 built a good case that their opinion can be bought. The opinion of a TRUE friend is the greatest referral ever, because you believe in them. They truly have your best interest at heart. (Subnote, so if you suck in network marketing you just dont have many friends who are open to an opportunity (so you travel in rich or dumb circles) or your friends dont trust you. So become a better frind to your existing friends or make new friends) Next time anyone goes to click on the website link that came up in the google search for whatever item they were looking for online...chances are very good that the person whose website comes up on page 1 is an AFFILIATE of some program. Whether it is Zappos, Amazon, Ebay, etc etc VEmma...etc. The future is AFFILIATE MARKETING. Millions of credible people are already making a living through this type of marketing every day. Look at the stats on dsa.org as to our sales last year. So anyway, to that dude on the phone, sorry I tore your head off, but I hate it when people put me on the phone with morons...ok, I said it) And a note to people who spend their time hating on network marketing...if youre going to choose to focus your energy on killing/hating something. Kill this whole middle east crisis. Hate on people blowing people up and cutting peoples heads off and taxing the crap out of us. Hate on something worth hating on...Dont waste your hate on a $180 billion dollar tax base that is the last bastion of american free enterprise and a great export that you know nothing about other than your dorky brother was in Amway 30 years ago and he failed. As you know, he would probably fail at most things at that stage of his life. He either grew or he didnt. Its not our fault :-) As my dad would say...No truer words have ever been spoken #affiliaterevolution #wordofmoutheconomy Sorry for the longest post in history....I am writing a book and I believe it will change the worlds perception. Im looking for a good title? It truly is 95% done finally...what should I call it? Its going to be amazing...I can feel it!! :-)
