Had a good laugh at the Crossroads Community Church here in Georgia this morning, Pastor Kerrys sermon was about how God empowers you to get your life in order, anyway he called this poor guy Marvin to assist him, he asked Marvin to be the Devil and Marvin started pushing him around…..Literally, Marvin was physically pushing Pastor Kerry around the Church, without getting into all the Details of his sermon, Pastor Kerrys core message was that God gives you the strength and the power to fight back, he then took this poor guy Marvin, started kicking him in the but and pushed him right out of the Church……..I really get a kick out of going to this church ( no pun intended), anyway, it was a mild day today, in the 80s but dry, I decided to go on a Bike ride at Burtons Ferry Crossing, it is this old abandoned highway in middle of one of of Georgias swamps near The Savanna River, it is actually quite weird but beautiful…….some neat flowering plants, kind of looked like orchids, I discovered a little Bamboo grove, (yes, bamboo grows in the states to), but since this road was abandoned many years ago, it is overgrown with some trees; some of then growing in middle of the road. I did about 8 miles on it, I am not used to it so I am just sitting here kind of sore and thinking about all that I am blessed with, …………including my work. I really like my job though I do fantasize about my retirement……..I think I would like to buy a Donkey when I retire. there are a lot of them here in Georgia, It would be a good companion for me. I could name him him Stanley…………maybe we can go on trips together…..with a cold beer………..I will wear a pith helmut, and my Larry the Cable guy cut off camou shirt……..maybe even do some prospecting, Denise wont agree to me getting a Harley, so maybe a Donkey might work.
