Had a great time competing and spectating at the USA Weightlifting University Nationals this weekend. Ended up going 110/130/240 for Competition PRs in the Snatch, Clean and Jerk, and Total. I placed 4th in the Total and 2nd in the Snatch!... In the C class. I went 4 for 6 - just missing my 3rd snatch attempt at 115kg and missing my third Clean and Jerk attempt on the jerk at 133kg, which gave me a Clean PR (and Power Clean PR, naturally). Im pretty happy with those numbers and Im looking forward to doing more in the near future. (117 kg Snatch at the Fortius Halloween Open in a green man suit is absolutely happening) From cracking up from quoting the German party pooper video every 5 seconds with Jesse Malcomb and James Sonu, to going out last night and taking over all 2 of the bars in downtown Albuquerque with the Fortius crew, I think its safe to say I have the best coaches and team a guy could possibly ask for! you guys are seriously the tits and I love that I know you. So glad I decided to walk in to Fortius 6 months ago and dedicate myself to weightlifting.
