Had a very enlightening discussion today with a Native American friend about ceremonies and rituals. You dont get to pick your spirit animal. I understand it is fun to imagine you can, and im sure your heady shard of moldavite was sold to you for just such a purpose, but the whole process is more sacred and purposeful than simply closing your eyes and deciding. If you are going to build your identity off of another cultures belief system, take the time to learn about it from appropriate sources. Your friend with the dreads who lives in the Phish lot, more than likely, is not an accurate source.
