Had a wonderful phone visit Sunday with a favorite relative, Aunt Martha (Seiple), Id been thinking about my late Uncle Bill, who served with the Navy during World War II, and gave her a call. It had been more than a year since Id talked with my aunt, a longtime resident of Naperville, Ill. Ive always admired her kindness, vibrancy and sense of humor. We laughed about Christmas reunions in Rochelle, Ill., where my grandmother -- Mamaw -- lived. A favorite present she gave all her grandchildren were matching pajamas that we all wore Christmas morning. Sharing family memories with Aunt Martha re-energized me.
