Had an awesome evening teaching and training at Lovatos Brazilian Jiu Jitsu last night!! The Teen Warriors started their new Monday class start time of 5:30pm, and we had a blast last night!! We spent a lot of time on technique last night too after a quick warm-up and some good takedown drills. I started by showing them how to stand and open guard into their bullfight pass for review, and then split the class up into beginner and intermediate groups. Coach John McCowen covered the step-around arm-bar with the beginner group, and I taught the knee-cross pass to the intermediate group. Then, I taught the whole group a new speed drill along the lines of our techniques, and we finished with a round of sparring. Congrats to Jacob Absher and Austin Bryant for being the Lovato BJJ OKC Children & Teen Warriors students of the night!! Jumped right into Professor Rafael Lovato Jr.s advanced jiu-jitsu class, and he continued to go over positional defense. Got in some solid no-gi rounds with Fletcher Hoffman to end the evening!! Now, its time for some Muay Thai with Mark H Beecher III, and then the JR Warriors tonight along with Womens Only BJJ, dont miss tonight ladies!! Hope to see you all there!!
