Had an awesome trail ride with my lovely blue roan lady yesterday! Rode with a friend to her house, picked up her daughter and rode back to the pasture! It was her first time going that way and even though I had to walk her about 20% of the ride it was well worth it! She did spook a few times, which is expected but, and I know it sounds weird, I love the way she spooks. She spooks in place and is always respectful, even if she wants to take off she still listens to the halter and calms down two seconds later. And the longer we ride the better she gets :) I even got her to lope twice! At the END of the ride! Which is amazing! I dont know if i ever told you guys but this filly is as far from hot as it gets. Lol I havent gotten her in a lope for more than a 2 strides ever(aka once) and yesterday I got her to do 6 or more each time. I think the lunging is paying off big time! Im so excited that we are still improving! I was worried that we werent progressing anymore! Shes got such an amazing lope! Nice and smooth like gliding :) It was well worth the wait! Question: how do you guys feel about full cheek snaffles? Im considering getting her one after all the research Ive done on them, sounds like its the right thing for her. It will have a french link as well
