Had the honor and privilege of attending Women Empowering Women- A Season of Change last night. To unforeseen illness of Nikki Medders- I was asked to step in and speak out Fostering. Im NOT a speaker I front of a crowd- hubby and our two babies were dragged along to keep me leveled. A few verses from the Bible of carrying of the fatherless and our story on why do what we do, and the November 2014 for Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. Thank God Felicia Ann Scott asked basic questions to help me along. But the continued words from a classmate Amy Batson Dyer has brought me back to my knees in prayer and tears. I send her a note this morning thank her for her kind words last night. This was the real I received back: ShaeYou deserve that praise and so much more. What you do is one of the hardest jobs I could imagine. I mean you get to love those little ones and see their joys but you also see the heartbreak and the brokenness that often come with abused children. I truly believe that their is a special place in heaven for people who can do what you do, almost as if you have been touched by the hand of god to be able to have your heart be so strong. God bless you and your family everyday for the hope, security and stability you bring to others. Merry Christmas to you, it was great being able to see you and hear your story!!! All the struggles over the years- all the years I have tried to help God with my life and my path.... When I say turn it over to The Lord and walk away- leave to him and watch miracles happen in your life. I mean it. He has brought my family closer, has brought me my awesomely-amazing husband, Danny Robbins, has brought us 4 foster children- to plant seeds in and show them love and what a family is.
