Halla oh halla! I was nominated by the wonderful Sheilah Bush Snyder to list 5 things people dont know about me.... Here goes: 1. I wanted to be an artist growing up...my parents told me I could be whatever I wanted to be- they LIED! 2. I gag at the sight of blood- everything starts to spin. I have even considered donating blood blindfolded. Ironically, I work at a hospital close to the emergency room. When I need to use the restroom, I make a mad dash keeping my head straight and looking at no one. 3. Probably the best thing to ever happen to me was when I backpacked Ireland a few years ago. I was in a two-building town in the middle of nowhere, trying to figure out where in the heck my ancestors owned property. I got to the town right as it started to rain, so I sought shelter in the church (one of the two buildings). I met the local retirement community and had mass with them. After service, we moved all of the pews around, and the minister threw a dance party (he was the DJ). As half of the people worked hard at finding my grass roots, the other half wanted to dance with the American (heavy accent). Basically picture me in the center of a dance party circle of elderly people lining the circle with walkers and canes, each one shaking his/her thing respectively. Me, being in the center, was hot stuff. I would really like to see them again someday. 4. I have had at least four girls tell me that the Lord told them I was supposed to marry them. The Its not you, its me speech goes a long ways. PS Did Jesus want me to marry all of them? 5. I love getting a party going, then sitting back and just chilling with my amigos (this means friends in Spanish)! As long as a function is fun, I dont necessarily enjoy leading!
