Hamilton people are so friendly! Im still getting used to it :-) A young dude of about 11 just up and starting talking to me while I waited to cross the road. He was kinda laughing at me cause I wouldnt cross until the light said I could, and I told him I was too chicken. We talked about the snow and then he cheerfully said, Talk to you later! like hes known me all his life. I know we push kids to not talk to strangers, but honestly it felt nice to just chat with this friendly kid :-) It reminded me of freerer and easier days of childhood, when our society wasnt so paranoid...Oh, and I think I am the Unofficial Volunteer Citizen Dollarama Shopping Assistant, because every time I go to a Dollarama here, someone ALWAYS asks me for advice about what to buy! And its usually about colour or if this item matches with that. Its so funny, cause I am so not used to it! After being in Toronto for so long, my automatic reaction is always that theyre some weirdo wanting to talk me, but Im starting to relax and realize that, no they are just friendly people who for some reason, find me approachable. Yes, those people still exist in the world, Its refreshing and can be amusing :-)
