Handsome Vizsla mix puppy (probably about a year old), now READY FOR ADOPTION and seeking a qualified furever home. Located in South San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Many of you may have followed the story of Red, then RedFinn, now Finn. Found severely malnourished and wandering loose in Nevada, he was taken to Jail. Kindly PD Officers cared for him as long as they could, and he was then saved from imminent euthanasia when a kindly concerned citizen posted him on “Rescue Me”. There followed a complicated cooperative effort between NoCA, Nevada, and SoCA Vizsla Rescue. Finn was given Veterinary care, microchipped, is up to date on all worming and vaccines, and is fully recovered from having been neutered. He is finally at his target weight and has tons of Venergy. Despite the challenges of his early days, Finn has settled nicely into his Foster Family’s home. He is very much a puppy--friendly, confident, & inquisitive, always ready with a kiss. He hasnt met a person he doesnt like and seems equally comfortable with men and women. Hes had limited exposure to children but seems comfortable with them as well. Like any good Vizsla hes a cuddler, and has quickly become his Foster Moms shadow. Finn works to please. A soft Nope is usually enough to turn him away from what hes doing. Praise ALWAYS results in a tail wag. A quick study, hes learned sit, down, come; when asked sits at the door until released to go outside. Most of the time, he walks nicely on a loose leash. Now housebroken and crate trained, Finn continues to have some separation anxiety (which is improving) when left alone at home for part of the day. He gets along well with his Vizsla foster-brother. His previous resource-guarding tendencies seem to have been resolved by a consistent diet, training and neutering. He has had no exposure to cats. Finn’s attachment to his Foster Family is growing, so he needs to find his very own, ACTIVE, FOREVER, LOVING VEXPERIENCED HOME very soon—one which is willing to continue his training. Finn is a magnificent, healthy Red Dog, and your love will equal VLOVE returned by Finn TENFOLD.
