Hannah Likinyo I havent attacked anyone on Facebook, I simply am exposing the ugly truth which is the reality of the racist society we live in. There is no nice way to call someone or something racist. Yeah its a really uncomfortable issue to talk about. Yeah people will be offended and feel guilty. Yeah this will cause people to be in denial or to lash out in many difference aggressive ways in defence. But it is neccersary. Hannah as you are a black woman, I am on no position to challenge your experience of racism or suggestion of solution to it. I dont criticise your grace, compassion or peace in your approach to racism. Although those characteristics may work for you, they dont for me. Martian Luther king was labeled an radical extremist till the day he was assassinated. He wasnt shy of calling people vicious racists , slave owners and ignorant. The institutions like to whitewash Martian Luther king into this passive idol which stood for justice for all. No he stood for change and revolution. He stood for justice for blacks. No one is saying white people dont deserve justice but they already own it. The only reason they do this white washing is because you cant package l Qvicious racist into a national holiday. Anyways Ive already explained that when I refer to white people I dont mean all white people ,just the ones in which the context of what Im saying is applicable to. Normally white people who are offended by this generalisation deep down know that what I am saying applies to them. Racism effects me and the people I love most everyday. I can not stay blind to the fact it exist. The least I can do on my part raise awareness and educate people on their white privledge, why reverse racism doesnt exist, the severity of institutionalised racism .
