Hannah update: Its been a rough weekend.. Her picc line began giving her terrible headaches and she cried every time it was used. She could taste everything from the saline flushes to the chemo itself. Yesterday and this morning they seemed more like migraines with the light and noises really bothering her. Very nauseous, not able to keep much down.. But she made it through it and we are done with cycle one. Her picc line was removed today, and get PCA pump is no longer in use either. Were being discharged from the hospital as soon as her prescriptions come up from the pharmacy. Thursday we meet with Dr. Ball to discuss and set up the surgery to have her port placed in her chest to receive the rest of her treatments that way. Keep your fingers crossed that were able to go to the infusion center for outpatient treatments and not have to be admitted again! As soon as we get to our new apartment, Hannah will begin her cannabis oil treatment. This should definitely speed up the healing process, as well as combat every symptom shes had so far, AND protect her good cells. Its insane the amount of prescription medications they put you on to try to combat what chemo does to your body.. The list looks like something a 90 year old with countless chronic illnesses should be on. But well get through it and ditch them entirely when the oil takes over! One cycle down, five more to go. The good news is, Hannah wont be in the middle of treatment for the benefit, so the chances of us being able to be there are about 99.9% :)
