Happiness is a choice! As philosophical as it sounds, we see it unfold around us all the time. Im sure you have heard of the glass half empty attitude. Once I experienced it literally. After returning from a refreshing spiritual journey into the Himalayas (Annapurna Base Camp - ABC), a fellow trekker ordered a glass of wine at the hotel we were staying (Hyatt Regency) in Nepal as there were not enough takers for a full bottle. The waiter brought the wine glass filled to what I thought was the usual level. This friend was shocked to see emptiness in the glass. There was a long and awkward argument about it until the waiter finally involved the supervisor to settle the matter. While this fellow trekker won the argument and some free wine, that incident ruined the day for everybody else at the table. Why am I talking about an unpleasant incident when there were so many pleasant ones on the trek!? Well, the glass is half full :) Happy Diwali.
