Happy 52nd birthday to comedian-actor Edward Regan Eddie Murphy. The formerly foul-mouthed funnyman will long be remembered for his tenure on NBCs SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and box-office smash favorites like 48 HRS.,BEVERLY HILLS COP,TRADING PLACES,THE GOLDEN CHILD,BHC 2 and 3,HARLEM NIGHTS,ANOTHER 48 HRS.,BOOMERANG,THE DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN,NORBIT,the remake of THE NUTTY PROFESSOR and its sequel,BOWFINGER,DADDY DAYCARE and A VAMPIRE IN BROOKLYN. Even EDDIE MURPHY-DELIRIOUS and EDDIE MURPHY-RAW were hilarious. Hey,he does great vocal impersonations and is an awesome singer also. You may remember his 1985 hit PARTY ALL THE TIME produced and co-written by the late funk rocker Rick James. RJ is even heard in the song at several points. Murphy also recorded a duet with the late Michael Jackson called WHATS UP WITH U? in 1993. To date,Murphy has two music albums which both songs appear on respectively. His other album is a comedy one,EDDIE MURPHY:COMEDIAN which contains routines performed in DELIRIOUS. The man has nine children by five or six different women. Murphys influences include Richard Pryor,Bill Cosby and Flip Wilson. I would say Murphy influenced Chris Rock,Martin Lawrence and Dave Chapelle.
