Happy Birthday boys! My oldest twin boys, Xaq and Eli turn 14 years old today. :) I still remember the day that their mother and I went for the ultrasound and the clinical technician performing the ultrasound chuckled before saying, Well, theres two heads, and theres two bellies... I thought she was joking because she initially chuckled. She had chuckled because our 8:30 am appointment, we were the third couple that morning that had come in for an ultrasound and to find out we were having twins. Since the day, fourteen years ago, that these two amazing guys were born in the covenant, my life (and eternal family) has been forever impacted most powerfully by the power of their presence and the unique and divine gifts of their spiritual identities have brought to us. Oh, the sacred privilege and blessing I have, granted to me by God Himself, to father bodies and lead the eternal family of a couple of our Gods most choice spirit sons. Thank you Heavenly Father for trusting me enough to send them to me. I love and miss these guys so much when theyre gone from their home. But when they are home, the spiritual confirmation I feel that our eternal family is back together convinces me that the blessing of our time together far outweighs (in spiritual magnitude) the times were currently forced to spend time apart from each other. Though I certainly realize and acknowledge (Alma 38:14) that these choice young men deserve a far better father than I will ever have the potential to be, their presence in my life, as my sons and members of my eternal family, powerfully motive me to do the very best I can to be an example of firm, steadfast, consistent and immovable faithfulness to them and their little eternal family that God has blessed them with. Their little humble examples to me, of what the Kingdom of Heaven will be like, have been a great sources of strength, motivation and desire to me to willingly make whatever sacrifice is necessary to insure that they are blessed with solid beliefs, faith and testimony of the eternal nature of the families that God has architected, organized and brings to pass by the sacred family creating power of procreation. My testimony of truth, and their importance in our eternal family is the greatest light I try to offer them as a token of gratitude for their choosing to be born into our eternal family. They are bright and incredibly intelligence young men, receptive to the Spirit of God, with hearts full of love, patience and understanding, with solid testimonies of the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this blessing in their lives, and that they are such a blessing to my own life, Im grateful, because I know that they will not be easily lead astray, nor that I will be easily led astray, because of their presence in my life and their own faith, testimony and example to me. I anxiously look forward to the day when Satan will be bound by their righteousness and the choices that originate deep within the seed of the hearts of the Lords true people (1 Nephi 22:15, 26), and our eternal family, I know, will be together forever, with no power under Heaven that can separate us or keep us apart from each other, ever again.
