Happy Birthday to OPSWA! 4 Years ago we started this journey with our first public appearance as OPSWA in Blind River, Ontario speaking to PSW Student Graduates. Since then we have grown to be the largest association for PSWs in our Country! Our PSWs are part of a team that consists of PSWs who understand what we as PSWs go through everyday..As a PSW I have always believed that if you want to speak for a body of people you better BE of that body aka PSW for PSW. The reason I chose this song to share with all of you is because I feel it represents SO many of us PSWs - I know it represents the association! Every door we have passed through - we fought to pass through it. We have fought and will continue to fight to be a part of anything PSW. We are your PEERS. I dont know about you but I dont want someone who isnt a PSW representing me. The day this song played at our first annual association - the day the minister of Health Deb Matthews made a POINT to come and speak to our PSWs personally...that was a proud moment for the association. We built this out of nothing. We believed that the PSWs of Ontario deserved something MORE. and we made it happen. We have become the official voice for PSWs in the province of Ontario. What a ride its been!! Heres to another 4 years. Stand proud PSWs.,..we got your back. opswa
