Happy Day! Two more towels came today! VERY beautiful and VERY different! One is from Rudell Kopp which shows off the Ocean Warp (blues/greens) so well in the 3/1 twill. One side is warp predominant and the other side is weft predominant. I havent been encouraging people to try this...because I hadnt thought about it. :-) But I will in the future. This really works beautifully. Rudell also included a fun and colorful Women Warriors pin that she makes. This one is copper, green glass beads with a fabric skirt. When I post photos, Ill include her in a shot so you can all see. Thank you, Rudell! The 2nd towel is from Melissa Sewell Gilje. Melissa had one of the Blackberry warps. It is in deep colors of fuchsia/wine, charcoal, light gray and deep purple. Her black weft gives it a dramatic, elegant look. This one is all about the texture! Melissa created her own threading pattern for her towel. She refused to let Harriette Roadman dictate what is truly the Best of Weavers Fabrics. Im not sure that there is a more absorbent structure for a towel than this Waffle Weave. Thank you, Melissa!
