Happy Day to all the Mothers: young mothers, older mothers, mothers who do the jobs of two parents, mothers who mother together, mothers who are fathers, mothers of all colors; mothers whose babies are in arms, whose babies were born of another womans body or genetics, whose babies are grown, whose babies have passed, and those whose babies are just moments in dreams; mothers who have no mothers of their own, whose mothers couldnt mother them, whose mothers are gone, and whose mothers were fathers or friends or others. Beyond the hallmark cards and the flowers is the radical root of Mothers Day, mothers in all our forms hold the love and the power to transform the world one child at a time. Love to us all.
