Happy Days are here again! After last years soggy reunion day...the difference was wonderful. We were blessed with gorgeous sunny skies.....and spectacularly cool temperatures. Please, if you took pictures of the events of the day...please send them to Venessa for her to post on Face Book. So here is all the news (ALL GOOD!). We had 196 people and 124 dogs! And, as usual, not one bit of dissension. This year we were fortunate to have BOTH dog parks...so the dogs had lots of room to run and play. By the time everyone came in for lunch....all the dogs were mellow and happy. The raffle prizes and silent auction items were wonderful Thanks to Mady, Lee Ann, Cathy and Barbara for spending hours putting together the baskets. Remember the expression it takes a village. Well, we have a village of wonderful volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this amazing day happen. I am praying I have not forgotten anyone...but here they are: Denise, Lorraine M, Lorraine W, Jeff, Sharon, Julie, Jody, Casey, Gabby, Lillian, Liz, Cathy, Susan, Kerry, Stacy, Peg. PLEASE, if I left some one out...let me know. AND, the bottom line (drum roll please). It appears we NETTED about $4000.00. To which we all say THANK YOU to all of you our wonderful adopters who made this the incredible success it was! It means so much to us to see our BELOVED ADOPTEES, THRIVING, HAPPY AND LOVED. And to have all of you show up and give so generously to help the many dogs who are out there waiting for us to help them...makes the roller coaster of Rescue worth every second of the highs and the lows. So, see you all next year!
