Happy Endings - 7/16/2014 Remember, Tulsa (now Stella), one of five shy kittens who waited forever to find a new home. Well, much to Megans surprise, Tulsa turned out to be a total love bug. Thank you, Megan, for giving her a chance - it is amazing what a loving home will do to help our shy kitties blossom into cuddly cats. Enjoy the pictures of Tulsa with her sister - definitely a match made in heaven!! --- Tulsa, now known as Stella, was the shyest little thing but I just knew I had to have her. I could tell my current Kitty Sophie was lonely while I was at work so I decided she needed a companion. I went to the MetroWest Humane Society web page and saw the advertisement for the “shy” cats. I thought this would be perfect for Sophie since she is a huge lap cat and I did not want the new kitty to steal any of my attention from her. Well, it literally took 4 people an hour and ½ to catch Stella in the cat carrier, the poor thing was terrified. As I drove home she did not make a peep but I talked the whole way. I let her out in the room I set up for her where she immediately ran to hide. Two days later she ran out of the room and hid behind the couch, which became her home for the next 3 weeks. The first week, I would lock Sophie in my room while I slept and went to work so Stella could come out and explore in peace. I was so happy to see evidence she had been out, things knocked over, food eaten, etc. The 2nd week she would dart out to play with Sophie and by the third week she was out and about but would run if I walked (or moved!) around. She would come up on my lap and explore but only if I stayed completely still. Soon she was cuddling with Sophie on my lap but the walking giant was still very scary. Very long story short, she is now the cutest, friendliest, cuddle bug ever!! She will cry at me to pet her, naps on my lap, sleeps with me every night and can’t get enough of being petted and scratched, she LOVES it! She and Sophie are best of friends, run and play and cuddle up and clean each other at nap time. So that shy kitty that I thought would never be a lap cat turned out to be one of the cuddliest kitties I have ever had! She is the cutest little thing that makes me laugh ALL the time, I just can’t get enough of her J Thank you so much MetroWest Humane Society for saving this angel and taking such good care of her!!!
