Happy Fathers Day! Missing my dad today and everyday! But my memories will suffice: He shopped for me at LuAnns and bought me the cutest dresses. Taught me to whistle. Gifted me a love of good music and Al Green. Sacrificed to ensure that I received a quality Christian education. Ensured that I had the exact prom dress I wanted by taking me to an expert seamstress. Taught me how to drive a stick so that one day I could own a sports car. Made me love cooking outside over an open fire or a Coleman stove. Showed me the secrets of making the best tasting lemonade. Introduced me to his friends, the pints of Haagen Daz Vanilla Swiss Almond and Butter Pecan. To know him was to love him. And the woman that I have become was shaped by a man I affectionately called Daddy and I was his Knee Baby.
