Happy Friday Everyone! Lets make this a greeeeeeat Friday for Tucker. Tucker, seen here, with one of his favs, volunteer Denyse, has been here at GGOH for over 4yrs now. Lets get this sweet boy a home. Tucker is a special case as he is deaf and has allergies. His deafness makes him a little leery of other dogs so he would do best if he could be the only dog, also who wouldnt want to be the only dog and get all the attention. He does well on his leash, loves to walk, is great with people, can get a little overzealous when playing as his deafness of course interfered with his learning process. He just needs a strong guardian who will be his ears for him and make him feel safe in any environment. This big boy came to me back in June of 2010 when a concerned older woman in River Falls approached us for help. He had been living next door to her tied outside and left all day long, day after day. She began taking him in to keep him comfortable and show him attention. Due to health reasons GGOH stepped in and brought Tucker to live with us here at the facility. He knows some simple hand commands and we swear can read our lips. We need Tucker to find a wonderful furever home where he will be loved and given the life he deserves. Once slotted for euthanasia for being deaf he was taken by the party who felt sorry for him then actually suffered neglect. Saved by Kathy his guardian angel he then came to GGOH where he has been awaiting his final destination. Lets get this boy home! Due to his deafness HE MUST HAVE A FENCED IN YARD. He does require special food and medications but is otherwise a healthy 5 year old American Staffordshire Terrier. GGOH is always happy to help our rescue animals in need but lets not let them live out there lives here, we need to do better by them.
