Happy Friday, as we come to the end of another busy week, I want to say how proud I am of so many on this Team just doing, reacting & jumping when theyre instincts tell them to. I also want you to keep in mind that I have personally backed off of supporting certain things or events to selectively promote the events that we as -A-Team are running, but that doesnt mean that any one of you great people should not support or join in other causes & functions, I just am limited to what I can be involved with because of my nature to over-indulge myself. With that being said we are being called upon almost at an alarming rate, to the point where Im actually removing things from my wall that Im being tagged in. As we move forward as -A-Team I want you to realize that some of the terrible things that happen in our community HIT Harder because the stories get into the right social places & TV & radio coverage. These are the ones that raise funds like nobodys business. I rode my bike with a few -A-teamers to The Officer Fox ceremony in East Norriton a few years back & was turned away, I also made a fairly large donation to a few of the many fund-raisers for his family, the canine that got injured & I felt good about that because its something I felt was the right thing to do, but that same year I also helped organize Jennifer Jennifer Romanos benefit along with Bethann DeGrazio & Colleen Bailey at The LuLu Temple, it didnt get the media coverage, yes Jen wasnt a police officer who was tragically shot while on duty, but she was a hero in her own right, & fighting for her life to stay alive for her 3 children & husband. That young woman hugged me & sent an energy through my body that still lives in my soul today, her daughter Princess Leah climbed in my arms & told me I was better than Justin Beiber & that coming from a 4 year old was more rewarding than thousands of dollars. Lets remember Angels as we move forward we will go where our hearts lead us, but lets not be a part of every rally or every battle, we can all do our parts especially in our communities, but when you ask me to make a Call To Order you better believe were jumping in with both feet, & we dont need no news cameras following us around, we have our own way of lighting up the town as we did for Julianne, Darion, & little Jackie, we can get the job done! But in all fairness to our Team we cant burn ourselves out from both ends. When we have An -A-Team Call To Order you better believe its gonna be an event that will never end, we adopt families & friends that become a part of our group & a part of our lives & if we continue to do so this journey & all who have dieds memories & love will never end, they will live through us passing it forward & continuing their fight for what is right! Go forward knowing that we can all make a difference everyday, but when we all come together we can change someones whole life in that same day & in every way! Especially when the ones were fighting for dont have a badge or a heart felt story, maybe the ones that really need help no one really knows about, like Olivia Thompson, or Darion Ebersole, if I didnt know Tim ODonnell & he didnt tell me about Kathleen Merritts special Angel Jackie we would have never known, & I remember telling Tim, I dont know its too close to Darions run, its hard to pull of a fund raiser in the summer let alone two, but you know what, it wasnt about the money for me that day, it was holding little Jackie & seeing the looks on the families faces, meeting her grand-parents, Aunts & Uncles & than to finally see her get her bed. There are no losses when you give from the heart whether it be time, sweat tears or a donation, theres never a win or a loss just an overwhelming feeling of I did what I could & someone is so thankful for it! We cant be in every fight, but if we choose the right time to throw the punch were certainly gonna win the battle. The proof is right here in this group most of us have all bonded while serving one of these great causes, & you my firnds are priceless to me & this great -A-Team!
