Happy Friday everyone! Right now I am at home with Grayson and daddy is hanging out with Pabs. With only about 4 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours, I needed some rest. Pablo had an ok day. His pain is being managed better and they hope to possibly move him down to the step down unit soon. He has been having trouble with wheezing and a little to much fluid on his lungs but the doctor gave him Lasik and we increased his breathing treatments to every 2 hours and that seemed to help. This afternoon they started TPN (nutrition through his IV) and hopefully we will be able to move to getting him back on his formula once his gut is more active. His new kidney is doing great! For my medically minded people his creatinine is going between 0.3 and 0.5 which means he is doing well. His blood pressure has been to high so they have started him on a blood pressure medicine. Today I cleaned his neck and changed his trach ties. It was quite difficult because of his swelling. I have tried to sit him up a few times today(not to be a mean mommy but because it can help with the swelling) and he was able to stay sitting up, with my support of course, for about 10 seconds each time. I can tell it must hurt but he has been on his back since Tuesday. Hopefully he has a quiet night and gets some good rest to heal his little body. Now I am off to bed to get some rest myself.
