Happy Friday morning, everyone. Its the eve of what should be a memorable match day, with Arizona coming to town and the Battery about to start their final training session of the week. Just finished reading Colin Falveys column for the game-day program, and its clear the team captain gets the significance of Saturdays contest. The team climbed a rung on the league ladder Tuesday, and a win tomorrow would put the Battery within striking distance of a playoff spot. In case you missed the news, the Batterys away match with the Montreal Impact Reserves has been moved up to Monday morning at 10:30, so this mornings training is the last session before that game, too. The Battery fly out to Canada Sunday morning and return Monday night. But it all starts Saturday evening, and like Colin says: The team is going to need every bit of support it can muster as it fights its way back to the postseason. And theres no doubt that the chanting and singing from our E1 Supporters Section lifted the spirits and sharpened the focus of Battery players on Tuesday -- theyve said as much. So get ready!
