Happy Monday! Day 113 of my Jesus Journey Matthew 17:22, 23 Mark 9: 30-32 Luke 9: 44, 45 None of us want to hear our loved ones or someone who is close to us..talk about their death do we? I remember mom always wanting to share her death wishes with me..I would say..mom..PLEASE..dont talk that way. I dont want to think of you dying..you are going to be around til the rapture...and she would look at me, like....I need you to hear me..I want you to know things. And when she did pass Nov. 28, 2010 I tried to remember all she told me over the time she knew she was dying and her wishes. Looking back now..I seen moms perspective..but while she was living...I didnt want to think about it. So I kind of get that with the disciples in this lesson. As moms busy life kept us on a mission..she still took time to sit one on one with us and share things with us and we all...can say, we gained much wisdom from that one on one with her. Jesus had to take time from his busy schedule and mission also and spend that time with His disciples to train them in great detail. Jesus knew He had to equip them to carry on after His death and resurrection..the disciples even had to lay aside their work and their recreation to learn from Jesus..the MASTER...how much more should we all..take that time and learn of Jesus. That is my purpose on this Journey..before the crazy begins...I want that moment ..that time with JESUS...so I can be better prepared for whatever the day holds. As Jesus prepared the disciples..even though they were right there with Him..witnessed all His miracles..they were still slow at learning about Jesus..so we ought to understand..just reading a passage here and there..and praying at night..it not going to get us that all we need to know relationship with Him..it takes time..and we must be willing to take that time..before things get crazy!..Are you willing? youtu.be/ar750jeupg8 Lord I pray today for myself and my readers..I know this is a busy time of season in the world..but Lord help us to take that time first to get to know you more..and be better prepared for a crazy day in the Name of Jesus.
