The final reading from Sunday follows: Scripture: I John 3: 1-3 One of Paul Harveys, The Rest of the Story London Morning Posts newest war correspondent, Leonard Spencer, 25, was sent to cover the Boer War in Africa. On a train going to the front, there was a crash due to a boulder on the track. It was an ambush. In the midst of the gunfire, Leonard jumped off the train, directed the British defense, and cleared the wreckage. The train left, but Leonard was left behind to face the enemy. He was taken prisoner, but the Boer commander was impressed with his bravery, so instead of killing him, he was sent to the Pretoria prison, among the worlds most carefully guarded strongholds. Leonard plotted an escape along with two other British captives. He escaped and then navigated 300 miles of hostile territory until he reached a mining town. He knocked on the door of the only Britisher and was smuggled onto a train. Leonard got his story and his reputation for daring. He continued to do the impossible for the rest of his life.
