Happy New Year, everyone! I (Allan) hope everyone had a great Christmas. Of course, this is the time of year that most of us are making resolutions and setting goals. Ive made a few, and this is one that Id love for you to join me in doing: Im going to start working Thru the Bible with Dr. J. Vernon McGee (pictured in the link below). Its a program that takes you through the entire Bible in 5 years in daily 25 minute lessons. This is a long-running radio program (some of my Facebook friends of a certain age might remember listening to it the first time around! -- haha!!). Dr. McGee is warm, down-home, funny, and incredibly insightful. Ill post each lesson after Ive listened. You should be able to just click the website link below and hopefully it will take you to the exact lesson that Ive just listened to so we can be on the same page. Of course, you can always scan the archives if you want to hear Dr. McGees commentary on a particular Bible passage (such as a particular book you may be studying). Im also posting these on my personal page so come join me over there, too, if you like (just search Allan Hall)! I think it would be great to get some discussion going as well in the comments if thats something any of us would like to do. Anyhow, I thought Id invite any of you who would like to join me in this. I need to be deliberate about reading Gods word daily (in fact, I started this last year and didnt really commit myself to it -- so here we go again!) and I think this will be a most instructive way to do it!
