Happy New Year from Dimitri Moore and associates! I started DWM Producing as an outlet to develop and produce projects that required my clients to extend themselves beyond their current creative reach. To inspire people to do more. Over the last year I have collaborated with several individuals to complete scripts, short films a documentary and a music video. It is with one of these clients that I write to you today seeking your support while also facing one of my own fears. I met Drea Muldavin (stage name Drea.m) a little over a year ago while filming a live concert. Right away I noticed she had a great voice and captivating stage presence. We decided to create a music video for her song Before the Water Comes and right away I noticed a similarity between us. We both had a lot to say with our art but for a long time we let other people guide our voice. Now we are both holding the reigns of our own creative destinies. Before the Water Comes was a simple shoot. Four days, one camera, exterior locations, no lights. It has already won one award and we are not done yet. Our new project, Timebomb, is a completely different animal. Black & white, crew, professional DP, studio location, lighting package, makeup and rope work. We need to raise money to produce the video for a track that stirred my blood and my soul when I first heard it. For years I have feared crowd funding. What if we dont make our goal? What if people dont like the project? I have decided to torpedo those fears because there is only so much you can do out of pocket. And I would like the projects of DWM Producing to grow in scope, scale, quality, storytelling and emotional impact. Fear doesnt make that happen. Action does.
