Happy November! If you are feeling not-too-proud about splurging - TopicsExpress

Happy November! If you are feeling not-too-proud about splurging on candy yesterday, here’s my TEN TIPS on what I typically do to detox my body (and mind) from sugar back when I used to partake in the refined poison. 1. I don’t starve myself. A lot of people don’t eat the day following a ‘cheat meal’ because of guilt. I say, continue eating your healthy meals balanced in lean protein, no carbohydrates and fats. 2. I want you to think about what you ate in the past and remind yourself that you are poisoning your temple. 3. Drink lots of water with fermented lemons. At least 3 gallons a day. 4. Workout. Do something to active to promote circulation, fat loss and a boost in confidence. No sitting. NONE. 5. Take a teaspoon of filtered mountain spring water (usually I dilute it in 8oz of organic apple cider vinegar). The acidity cleanses your body. 6. Eat Raw ORGANIC, LOCALLY GROWN, FERMENTED Foods. Raw (uncooked) fermented foods have a higher nutrition content and has roughage to help expel and cleanse the unhealthy foods out of your system. 7. Hide the Candy! Hide it from you AND your kids. Note: I didn’t say throw it away. Better yet, destroy it. Sugar in general is very toxic to your body. Think of it as white poison. 8. If you feel extra heavy from your intake yesterday, refer to 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6. 9. Make a plan to not over-indulge for the next few days. You want to balance out your ‘cheat meals’ by overeating a starchy cooked vegetable 1-2 times a week (that’s my normal). So since today is Friday, be more aware to not over-splurge over the weekend. Say no to the roasted cauliflower. 10. Remember ‘Thoughts Become Things’. Don’t tell yourself you’re fat, lazy or weak-minded (even if you tend to be). Don’t define yourself based on what you eat or how much you want to eat.
