Happy Sunday Everyone!! How are you planning your week? Here a few more tips to kick-start you week: 1. BE GRATEFUL: Start you days by being grateful about the new opportunities and for allowing yourself to be in control of your own journey. 2. DRINK YOUR WATER: I cant stress this enough! Water is your best ally on your weight loss battle!! Drink a full glass first thing in the morning, this will help you to wake up your still in resting mode organs, give you more mental clarity, promote vowel movement, and if you are a coffee-drinker, to keep you hydrated. Among other many benefits! Dont like the taste squirt lime/lemon juice! 3. STRETCH: Gentile stretches actually help you put in a good mood! You could do some while you still lie in bed, or you can do a few stretches after getting up. Im a fan of simple yoga stretches, it helps to control your breathing. 4. DOWNSIZE YOUR PLATE: Change the size of your serving plate for a smaller one! 1) This will help you consume less calories, you could consume 35% less food with this trick! 2) It will trick your brain to think you are eating the same usual portion. 5. PROTEIN Vs VEGGIES: Imagine your plate, how much protein is in there?, now imagine the same plate, same amount of protein, now fill the rest of the plate with veggies!! IF YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT, YOUR PLATE SHOULD BE 1/2 VEGETABLES, 1/4 PROTEIN AND 1/4 CARBOHYDRATES. 6. KEEPING DATA: Keep a food diary. Keeping track of what you eat will give you a better perspective about what and when you eat, you should include any triggers for emotional eating, and be truthful to yourself. THIS IS FOR YOU, AND YOU ONLY!! 7. WRITE YOURSELF A HEALTHY ME LETTER. I love this idea!! Write to yourself as yourself from the future. WHAT IS YOUR HEALTHIER, SKINNIER YOU TELLING THE PRESENT YOU? IS SHE ASKING YOU TO KEEP GOING? IS SHE TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO? Think of her as if she is already happening somewhere else in the universe. Ask her for advice about what she did to become successful in your weight loss battle! AND THANK HER FOR KEEPING AN EYE ON YOU!
