Happy THANKSGIVING! Happy Chuseok (Korean: 추석), originally known as hangawi 한가위 Koreans are in the middle of celebrating a 3 Day National Holiday that started on Monday, making it in effect a 5-Day Weekend! Korea is the birthplace of TKD & as such all TKD students should be both mindful of the Motherland of their Art & give thanks to Korea for sharing this wonderful gift with the world! Part of the traditional of this Holiday is returning to their original homes, visiting the gravesites of their deceased relatives & actually leaving the doors open at the homes when they are enjoying the family meal, which is symbolic of letting in the spirits of their ancestors who have passed away! So in the spirit of returning home & reunited with family, including those who have passed, let us open our doors to our fellow TKD students, be they WTF, Independent or one of the ITFs! As we have seen with the recent ITF & WTF Agreement signed in front of the IOC President by Prof. Chang Ung & Dr. Choue, as well as the Agreement signed between Prof. Chang Ung & GM Trajtenberg, lets us keep the doors open to all, welcoming all as TKD is One!
