Happy Thursday! One of the things I really do enjoy living in this community is the varied visual treats I continue to discover. The updated cover image is of a local sculpture outside the newspaper office. Like images, I continue to develop new interests for various musicians. Over the past few years, artists such as Holly Williams, Otis Gibbs, Ray Wiley Hubbard, Lydia Loveless, Rev. Peyton, Pokey LaFarge and many more provide a soundtrack for life. This lady has been cranking out some serious stuff for a lot of years and hopefully she reaches a level of recognition while shes still around with us. Dont want her to end up like Blaze Foley, that only after their passing does the world stop and say, wow, amazing stuff, wish I would have discovered her earlier I love these NPR tiny desk series of performances.
