Happy Tuesday Peepsicles! First, let’s give out a GIANT DONUT GIRL ‘SUP & WELCOME to our newest PEEPSICLES - THERESA SCHROEDER, JESSICA WALLS, and MARY ANN BRADLEY! WELCOME to the Donut Gallery LADIES! Now, I’d like to share a little something with you this morning. You see, I enjoy a wide variety of music. One artist that has inspired me today is the late, great John Denver. Sadly, some of you have NO CLUE as to who I am referring, but trust me, he was good. One of his classics is SUNSHINE ON MY SHOULDERS which I would like to briefly remake for you right here, right now…Donut Girl style (actually, that guy that hangs out with the Donut Girl style – in case it goes bad (high probability), I don’t want her blamed). Ready – imagine John singing it – or me – it’s better if it’s John. (Guitar starts, clears throat)…donuts in my belly, make me happy….donuts I can’t buy, it makes me cry…donuts in the showcase looks so looooovely…donuts in my hand, makes me smile. (bowing) Yes, I know…lyrical genius…I AM the complete package and, yes, she IS that LUCKY. Anywho, I am thinking about releasing a record later this year. Maybe have BJ PERRY mix it…possibly get SNOOP LION and KATY PERRY make guest appearances. Oh, EDDIE VAN HALEN would be cool – “YOU REALLY GOT EATS” (huh, anyone? – okay, okay old schoolers, I know it’s really Ray Davies and the Kinks, but for Pete’s sake…Van Halen might be reaching for some of the kids…so let’s give Pete a break). I have ideas. For now, we need to focus on TUESDAY. You heard me right (actually read it, but read me right sounds weird), TUESDAY. That means CHOCOLATE DONUTS and PECAN ROLLS. It also means CREAM OF POTATO and CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUPS! For hot sandwiches, we have a PATTY MELT! Yes, ALL OF THIS along with our USUAL D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S-N-E-S-S! Well, I have to get rollin’ (I’m super cool now because of the musical references – so I have to drop the “g”) so we hope everyone has a GREAT day because…say it with me…THERE IS A GREAT DAY OUT THERE UNDER A TON OF SNOW AND ICE, YOU JUST HAVE TO GO GET IT WITH A PICK AND SHOVEL!
