Happy Veterans Day, Some (Men in Uniform) family photos. The first one is Derek from 1984 (basic training I think) and the story that goes with it is... we had just met (March 8th 1986) & our first date was my birthday March 14, then we had one more date before everybody left for Spring break (U of I) so while on Spring break I got a letter in the mail from him with this picture. The pic pretty much sealed the deal :D . And funny thing, he said later he knew it would. HA ! The second and third pics are of my Dad while in the Navy. No war time but the Navy helped pay his way thru IIT (Mechanical Engineer). The last pic is my maternal Granddad. He was in the Marines and did serve in WW1.
