Happy Weekend to you all!!! Hope its a good one, snuggled up cozy and warm. Heres a lovely account of having a first baby, a very quick birth after a slow build-up. The early stages of labour can be very slow for some, it can take many hours or even a couple of days so being prepared can take the anxiety out of it for you and your partner. It was my first baby which was very frightening but being with the MLU was an amazing experience. It was September 9th 2012 and I was 3 days overdue but in slow labor at 2cm dilated. I spent most of my labor at home until 11.20 that night I knew the baby was definitely coming. I rang the MLU and thats when I got talking to Rose who kindly told me to come in. I arrived at the MLU at 11.55 and when I got there I was fully dilated and had my beautiful baby girl Grace Ellen at 12.44am. Less than an hour. I couldnt believe it. I will never forget my experience with the MLU and all the staff especially Rose who helped deliver my baby. She was just incredible. Susanne & Baby Grace Ellen.
