Happy new year! This page is falling into oblivion! Shake your neurons and ears and share more medieval music, please! I give to you this marvelous piece from Peru, the Códice Martínez Compañón, traditionally played at the Trujillos Cathedral. Theres so many different interpretations on Youtube, but I prefere to share this one because live music is more vibrating than the recorded one. I post a very brief info gotten from Wikipedia. Enjoy this fabulous cachua!: The Codex Martínez Compañón (c.1782–1785), is a manuscript edited by the bishop of Trujillo, Peru, Baltasar Jaime Martínez Compañón, containing 1,411 watercolours and 20 musical scores documenting life in his diocese. The musical examples in the bishops text were probably written out by Pedro José Solis, maestro de capilla of Trujillo Cathedral from 1781 to 1823.
