Happy to say that CapSlam made it to semifinals and nailed our pieces tonight, despite not qualifying to move on to finals. Im so impressed with Gavin, Rusty, Candice and Artemysia, and feel so honoured to have worked with them leading up to this moment. Im so very proud of all of us. Aside from being onstage with Rusty tonight (to whom I owe an enormous debt of unconditional support and love) one of my favourite moments of this whole experience was being onstage with Artemysia Fragiskatos and Candice Brr during Artemysias team piece, Silent Voices. Three first-time-on-a-national-stage female poets tearing it up. I feel blessed to have come so far with this team beside me--so much love for each one of you. Thank you for making this experience so beautiful.
