... Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival, China.... The largest ice and snow festival on Earth is held annually since 1963 in Harbin – a Northeastern city, which receives low temperatures in winter. The sculptures are put all around the town, with majority of them being exhibited on Sun Island as well as Ice and Snow world. A lot of international and local artists come to participate in this beautiful festival. The sculptures are arranged according to certain themes: for instance some look like classic Chinese artworks, others depict European fairy-tales or famous buildings. A huge ice slide can be actually used for sliding! Meanwhile in Harbin also visit its bath houses and ski in various resorts situated around the town.
