Hard to believe but it is that time of year again - time to begin to ramp up our efforts to see to it that as many wreaths as possible are able to be placed on the graves of our veterans at Saratoga National Cemetery. MAIL IN FORM: The Patriot Guard Riders of Eastern New York have been granted Group Sponsorship status within the Wreaths Across America organization. So what does our Group Sponsorship status mean? Well for every two wreaths that are ordered - using our group code - WAA will donate another wreath - we get 3 for 2. You will see on the order forms that the appropriate cemetery designation for G. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery is “NYGSNS” but just as important - the Sponsoring Group ID# is “NY0057” for the PGR. INTERNET ORDER: For those who wish to order a wreath on-line, Go to wreathsacrossamerica.org. At the “Home” page click on STORE. Then select “Sponsor For A Specific Location”. At the “Support A Local Fundraising Group” page – in the “Find A Fundraising Group” search field type in “NY0057” and click on “SEARCH”. This same page will show you the search results for the “NY0057” code. Under the heading “Search Results” you will see: “NY0057 – Patriot Guard Riders of NY Capital Region 4 and 5”. It will also show that the cemetery attached to this code is “NYGSNS – Gerald B. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville” – Click on the “DONATE” button. The next pages will take you thru the actual ordering process. Do not let yourself be confused when they ask for “Shipping Address” (used for credit card validation) – your wreaths will go to the cemetery you selected with the Fundraising Group Code. This process is important if we are to receive credit for the “3 for 2” orders.
