Hard to believe that four years ago while looking on Petfinder (Something I Should NOT be doing).. I noticed what I thought was a scrawny sad looking St. Bernard (see first picture). I called the shelter and was told that he was found wandering in Daytona Beach and that the owners had been notified and despite saying that they would, they never came for him. That night I spoke to my husband, showed him the picture and told him the shelter was running an adoption special. The next morning he woke me up and asked if I was ready to drive a tad bit South to go get him. When Tobey saw us he practically dragged the shelter helper towards us and our other 2 dogs who we brought with. After signing the papers Tobey flew into the car and never looked back. The scrawny Saint with missing hair begin to fill out and flourish while making his way into both mine and my husbands heart. And where he still is today!! I always say when it comes to my rescue pets One persons trash is truly anothers treasure.
